The church burned in the 1800s, was rebuilt under another name, and eventually vanished entirely. The graveyard fell apart and was given one collective.

The old Montrose church near Florence, South Carolina burned down in the 1800s under circumstances nobody recorded. It was rebuilt and renamed Mount Hope, and that building has also gone. Nothing of either stands now.

The graveyard was left. It fell into such disrepair that a single collective marker was placed outside it, which is the usual solution when the individual stones can no longer be matched to the graves beneath them.
