The only house in Savannah known to have had an exorcism performed in it.

The Hampton Lillibridge House was built in 1796 in the Rhode Island style, unusual for Savannah, and moved to its present site on East Saint Julian Street in the 1960s by the restorationist Jim Williams. The move is where the trouble is usually said to start. A second house being moved alongside it collapsed and a workman was killed, and the crew found what appeared to be an old crypt beneath the original site, sealed and, when opened, empty.

Workmen on the restoration began refusing the job. They reported tools going missing and turning up elsewhere, footsteps on floors they knew were empty, and a feeling in the upper storey strong enough that several would not go back up. A man in a black suit and bow tie was seen in a third floor window while the house stood unoccupied, by people in the street who had no reason to be looking for him. Neighbours reported a woman screaming inside the empty building. A grey haired man has been described repeatedly, inside and at the windows.

In 1963 an Episcopal bishop was brought in and performed an exorcism, which as far as anyone knows makes this the only house in Savannah to have had one. The accounts did not stop afterwards. It remains a private residence and is not open to visitors.
