The hangar at Robins

Georgia · United States · Haunted site

A military aircraft came down forty miles from the Georgia base in March 2001. The remains were brought back and held in one of the hangars.

In March 2001 a military aircraft crashed about forty miles from Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.

What was recovered, the crew and the wreckage, was brought back to the base and held in one of the hangars while the investigation ran.

Since then the people working in that hangar have reported noises, cold spots, and machinery starting up unexpectedly.

This is a real crash and real aircrew, and the accounts belong to the airmen who worked in the building afterwards rather than to anyone who went looking. Recovery work of this kind is done by people who knew the crew, in a building they have to keep using afterwards.

Robins is an active installation. Air Force police patrol the hangar and the ground around it, and it is closed to the public.
