The Ada Witch is one of the best known figures in Michigan folklore, and she is reported over a wide area: a misty blue figure moving within roughly three miles of Ada Cemetery, along Two Mile between Egypt Valley and Honey Creek.

The story given for her is domestic and ends badly for everyone. A man suspected his wife of an affair. One night, when she believed him asleep, he followed her. She went to a field near their property and met her lover there. Enraged, the husband killed his wife. The two men then fought, and both died of their injuries.

What is reported now is her, late at night, and particularly on the night of a full moon and the nights leading up to it. Drivers passing the field describe seeing her searching. Some have stopped and tried to speak to her. She either disappears or moves off into the woods, where the brambles are thick enough that nobody follows.

She is described in a long white gown, which local historians date to around the turn of the twentieth century.
