Dungeon Rock is here, a cave where a seventeenth century pirate is said to have hidden and where a spiritualist spent decades in the 1800s digging for treasure on instructions he believed came from the pirate himself. He died still digging. The tunnel is open to visitors.

The forest is public and it is very easy to get lost in.
