When the Indian Hills area of Simi Valley, California was built, it came with a great many hills, and to anyone with a skateboard they looked ideal.

A boy went down the steep one they call Maricopa without a helmet. He went face first and did not survive it.

This is one of the small number of entries in this collection where the whole point is preventable. Skateboarding fatalities are overwhelmingly head injuries and overwhelmingly involve no helmet, and a long steep residential hill produces speeds most riders cannot control and cannot bail out of.
