Unlike almost everything else in this archive, the presences here have names, dates and occupations attached.

Eliza Richards died in 1925 at the age of seventy seven. She is the figure guests called Elizabeth. She appears not as an old woman but as a girl of about nineteen, the age she was at her first marriage, which the accounts read as the period she chooses to be remembered from.

The figure diners called the old farmer, Will, is her son, Jesse Thomas Richards. He was the local meat cutter and grocer from the early 1900s until his death in 1937 at sixty eight.

A third presence, called Carrie, is described alongside them.

The restaurant was among the best known haunted businesses in Texas before the fire. The family it belonged to were ordinary people from a small town whose names have outlasted their house.
