The Upjohn family's summer place in Michigan. Dr Upjohn died in the Doctor's Cottage, beside the creek at the edge of his Japanese garden.
Brook Lodge at Augusta, Michigan was the summer residence of the Upjohn family, of the pharmaceutical company that later became part of Pharmacia and then Pfizer. The hotel is owned by Michigan State University now.
Dr Upjohn died in the Doctor's Cottage: a large and handsome building at the edge of the creek, surrounded by the Japanese garden he had made.
Guests who stay in that cottage are the ones with accounts.
This is a natural death in a man's own house, in the part of the estate he had built for himself and clearly cared most about. Nothing violent is claimed and nothing violent is needed.
The gardens are still there and the property is used for conferences and events.
