Two men, camping months apart and unknown to each other, described the same young woman in a long white dress among the boulders under the trees.

The site is a wooded area across from one of the pitches at Lake Morena Campground in San Diego County, California, where a group of boulders lies beneath the trees. What is reported there is a young woman in a long white dress, along with a cold that visitors describe as arriving before she does.

Two sightings, by two different men, are what put the site on record.

The first was on a warm July night at around nine in the evening. A group was setting up camp when one of the men wandered over toward the dark area and found the young woman standing there looking at him. He was startled and turned away. When he looked back she was gone, though he described still being able to feel her.

The second came at around three in the morning, months later and from someone with no connection to the first witness.

The campground is public and busy in the season, which makes the consistency of the two descriptions the interesting part rather than the sighting itself.
