A kitchen worker went down to the cellar for ice, bent over the freezer, and felt a hand on his shoulder.
Brinton Lodge at Douglassville, Pennsylvania has produced reports of figures and of sounds over a long period.
The account added in January 2004 comes from a former kitchen worker and is the one staff repeat.
He had run down to the cellar to get ice out of the freezer. As he was bent over it, he felt somebody put a hand on his shoulder. He turned round to see who it was. There was nobody there.
He describes going back up the stairs faster than he has ever moved.
He also reported seeing something with his own eyes elsewhere in the building.
Kitchen cellars produce more of these accounts than almost any other kind of room, because a member of staff is sent down alone into a cold, noisy, badly lit space several times a shift and expects to be the only one there.
